Hugh and Kathy Crawford Endorse Bob Gatt for Mayor


Crawfords Call Gatt Best Choice for Novi Voters

 
NOVI, MI – State Representative Hugh Crawford and County Commissioner Kathy Crawford today endorsed Bob Gatt for Mayor of Novi.

The Crawfords’ support comes on the heels of a number of high profile endorsements in recent weeks including Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson.

Rep. Hugh Crawford, a Marine Corps veteran, has served the people of Novi as a city councilman, mayor pro tem, and vice chairman of the Oakland County Commission before being elected to the Michigan House in 2008.

Commissioner Kathy Crawford currently serves as an Oakland County commissioner after a distinguished career of public service including serving as a city councilwoman from 2007 to 2010. She’s widely known for founding of Novi’s first senior center.

“Bob Gatt is the experienced leader we need in Novi,” said Rep. Crawford. “His near 40 years of service as a Novi police officer, city councilman and mayor pro tem make him the best choice for Novi voters. I’m proud to endorse Bob Gatt for mayor,” Rep. Crawford said.
 
Bob Gatt will be an excellent mayor, especially for area seniors,” Commissioner Crawford said. “I look forward to working with him as Novi’s next mayor.”

Bob Gatt was grateful for the endorsements.

“I’m delighted to have the support of both Hugh and Kathy Crawford, two of Novi’s most trusted and respected community leaders. The Crawfords’ endorsement is an honor given their distinguished careers serving the people of Novi,” Gatt said.
 
The Gatt for Mayor campaign has announced a flurry of endorsements in recent weeks, including: County Executive L. Brooks Patterson, Senator Mike Kowall, County Clerk/Register of Deeds Bill Bullard Jr., Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard, Mayor David Landry, former Mayor Matt Quinn, former Mayor Patricia Karevich, former Mayor Pro Tem Ed Leininger, Councilman David Staudt, Councilman Wayne Wrobel and former Councilman Brian Burke.  Current Novi Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) member Dr. Mav Sanghvi and former ZBA member Brent Canup also support Gatt for Mayor.
