NOVI, MI – Former Novi City Councilwoman Laura Lorenzo today endorsed Bob Gatt for Mayor of Novi. Ms. Lorenzo’s endorsement follows a string of high profile endorsements including State Representative Hugh Crawford, County Commissioner Kathy Crawford, and Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson.
 
Laura Lorenzo has served a distinguished career in Novi. First elected to City Council in 1997 and again in 2001, she has worked with Mayor Pro Tem Bob Gatt on resolving numerous high-profile issues. Ms. Lorenzo has also served on various Novi committees including the Planning Commission, Environmental Committee, and the Main Street Committee, among others.
 
“Bob Gatt’s efforts on City Council and as Mayor Pro Tem give him the insight, experience, and leadership we need in Novi,” said Laura Lorenzo. “He has been firmly committed to Public Safety from the time he began on City Council eight years ago. Bob Gatt has proven himself the best choice for Mayor.”

The Gatt for Mayor campaign has announced a flurry of endorsements in recent weeks, including: State Representative Hugh Crawford, County Commissioner Kathy Crawford, County Executive L. Brooks Patterson, Senator Mike Kowall, County Clerk/Register of Deeds Bill Bullard Jr., Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard, Mayor David Landry, former Mayor Matt Quinn, former Mayor Patricia Karevich, former Mayor Pro Tem Ed Leininger, Councilman David Staudt, Councilman Wayne Wrobel and former Councilman Brian Burke.
 
Current Novi Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) member Dr. Mav Sanghvi and former ZBA member Brent Canup also support Gatt for Mayor.
